Software Developer

Position:

  Software Developer, Full Time

Location:

  Near Eklavya College, Kothrud, Pune, MH, India.

Educational Qualification:

• B.E or MS or M.Tech (Computer Science or Information Technology or Transportation)
• MCA or MCM or MSc or CDAC

For exceptionally talented and experienced candidates educational background may not matter much.

Essential Skills:

• Passion for programming and software development.
• Very good HTML, PHP, JavaScript programming skills.
• Clear understanding of basics of web application development.
• Clear understanding database concepts. Good knowledge of database design and SQL queries.

Experience:

Candidate must have experience of at least one software development project involving problem solving and developing a software solution.

Added Advantage:

• Knowledge of XUL, JSON. Google Maps API, AJAX.
• Google Maps API
• Open source contribution some experience with open source projects like MediaWiki, MySQL,Apache, Mozilla/Firefox, OpenStreetMap would be great.
• Passion for improving governance using software as tool.

Platform:

Windows 2000/XP or Gnu/Linux. Basic knowledge operating system concepts and Unix commands is needed.

Job Responsibility:

• Design, coding, testing new features of a software product/application as per functional specifications.
• Suggesting new innovative features and improvements in the design and participating in product development.
• Working on pet projects which solve previously unsolved practical problems.
